The One X is HTC’s entry into the high end market, boasting a price of around £449 SIM free, this handset has got a lot of competition.

See further down the page for the HTC One X deals and find out which plan suits you best!

Let’s have a look at what the HTC One X has to offer.

The hardware is similar to other devices at this price brought out this year, with a 1.5GHz Quad core processor, and 1GB of RAM, this device is expected to run blissfully smoothly. There’s only 32GB of internal storage, and there’s no micro SD card slot, meaning for those who use a lot of storage space for music and movies, you may be a little disappointed. With an LCD screen of 720x1280 pixels, it’s really down to opinion of whether you prefer the sharp colours of the Super AMOLED screen, or the realism of the LCD screen.

The screen is a whole 4.7 inches, 0.1 less than the new Galaxy, but a lot bigger than the 4S, the pixel density isn’t as great as the 4S, and the screen doesn’t appear as pretty as the iPhone’s retinal display. The size of the handset is a little on the large side, it makes it difficult to use for those with smaller hands, but if you can get your hands round it, it is surprisingly comfortable to hold, and fits in and out of your pocket too.

The design of the phone itself is sleek and has perfectly curved edges for comfort in the hand, coming in black or white, the front of the device is mainly filled with the screen itself, with about half an inch at the bottom of the device for three touch capacitive buttons.

The camera is 8MP, which sticks out a fair bit from the phone, although it can still be placed safely on a flat surface.

The HTC One X offers the ability to capture pictures whilst recording, and also can take pictures automatically while you’re recording too, which HTC has called ‘rapid-fire continuous shooting,’ the One X opens up the camera almost instantly and switching between video and picture is no longer an issue. The One X comes installed with Beats audio, offering rich, authentic sound. Along with the integrated music experience, it’s easy to access all your music and music apps as they’re conveniently placed in one location.

The battery life isn’t great, but the screen is very impressive, and along with the beats audio and easy-to-access music apps its’ a great phone for music and movie enthusiasts, it’s just a shame it doesn’t include any extra storage options. The mobile isn’t as easy to navigate as the iPhone, and with the One X shining at an audience interested in movies and music, it’ll be interesting to see how it will be received by its customers.
